What is Haydn Library?

This ambitious project to create a digital archive of the Foundation’s rich cultural heritage started in 2023. Initially, you will only be able to access some of the Haydn Foundation’s playbills and concert programs for past seasons’ symphonic music, opera and dance performances. Future seasons will be added each year. We will continuously update the archive with playbills and concert programmes – of which there are many every year – from 1960 to today.

This repository will store all current and future content in an organised archive. This priceless heritage is available not only to academics, researchers and specialists but to anyone who wishes to find out more about works, authors and the Foundation’s history. For music history and orchestra enthusiasts or anyone curious about the evolution of the graphics of the documents, this portal represents a lasting legacy for today and tomorrow.
